"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen." (Hebrews 11:1)
You don't need to see the bread actually baking to know it is in the oven almost ready.
Growing up I can remember my mom baking homemade bread. She made the best yeast rolls and loaves of bread you ever tasted. She didn't have to announce on a loud speaker she had fresh bread. She didn't need to take out an ad in the paper to say she had fresh bread. She didn't even have to hang out a sign that said "fresh baked bread". You could smell the bread before you even entered the house. In fact, the air was so full of the smell of bread baking you could be almost a block away and the fragrance of mom's fresh baked bread was in the air. You might say, "Pastor Dan, all this talk about bread is making me hungry!" Well I want you to be hungry. David said, "Oh taste and see that the Lord is good" You will never know how good God is until you taste Him for yourself. God has something cooking just for you.
Faith is the means of us knowing what's in God's oven.
The only way you can smell it though is to get in His presence through prayer. Prayer, along with hearing God's word is how our faith increases. If you can just wait in God's presence until you can get a scent of what God is cooking, you will get excited about getting to taste that bread.
Mmmmmm, I was just in His presence and I can tell you for sure, God has something baking right now!
